The first company I worked for offered Toastmasters, a professional club for developing public speaking skills. I admit, it made me nervous to go, I dreaded my time to speak, and I disliked writing speeches even more. I couldn’t wait to be done. Once I completed my CTM (Certified Toastmaster), I considered myself proficient and filed away my Toastmasters manual. Now, more than 10 years later, I wish I had continued.
