It’s old news that post-sale customer engagement is critical to both retaining and growing the customer relationship and in turn growing loyalty and revenue. At Premiere Global, we are using our products and services to establish and grow a customer relationship that spans the entire customer life cycle, not just to the close-of-sale.
We’ve built our post-sale engagement experience using Campaign Accelerator Advanced, a feature-rich eMarketing tool which allows us to effectively segment by product, solution, when they were sold, what kind of information our customers want to receive, and any other variation of data segmentation we have to use. Here are the points of engagement being targeted:

Updated: 5/26/2009 @ 5:36 pm ET: Just a note - The Campaign Accelerator Professional ERA upgrade has been moved to Thursday, 5/28 10-11:30 ET.
***
Just a quick note to let you know that we are doing a few upgrades coming up in the next week. Here’s when and what will be impacted:
- Campaign Accelerator Advanced’s dataloader will be upgraded from 10 - 11 am ET on Saturday, May 23. Customers will not be able to upload records via FTP or SMTP access during this time frame. 10 am ET was chosen based on the lowest point of dataload activity, so we are hoping this upgrade will present no disruptions to your service. If you happen to be attempting dataload during this time, you will receive a connection timeout.

I am sitting in some great meetings today talking a lot about the future of our industry and products. We’ve had some great discussions about who does what in an email marketing organization. I admit as someone who has been fully engaged in the email world for more than a decade (wow) that I am probably a bit more interested in email than about 99.9% of people in the world. If you are reading my blog you are more than likely someone in your organization who is involved in the process. My question for you today, is a simple one that may not be so simple.

PGiMarket’s third Accelerator Professional release this year brings a much sought after feature to the forefront. We’ve partnered with FormSpring, one of the leading online WebForms providers, to release Phase I of WebForms in Accelerator Professional!
WebForms makes it easy for you to quickly create clean, branded landing pages where you can collect subscriber information. Take your eMarketing to the next level and let your community come to you.
Our first WebForms release on Accelerator Professional offers its users the ability to collect 18 fields of data. Each WebForm you build is then linked to a Contact List, and you can have multiple WebForms push data to a single contact list.

I wanted to provide an example of what an email I received looked like in my Yahoo email box. This is my standard way to view messages, with my preview pane turned on. This particular message is all images. If you received this message, do you think that you would try and figure out how to view it? I feel certain the answer for most of us is no. When designing messages, please remember to test in top email clients and remember this is the way most people will see your email.

Was there a message here somewhere?

Listening closely to what your users (customers) tell you, watching them interact with your product is an incredible powerful thing. And it can lead to significant changes in your thinking about how you design and develop your product. We were not planning this when we set budgets and initial roadmaps for the year, but we are in the midst of a deep dive into completely re-designing our interface.

Our second release of 2009 is scheduled for March 22! With this release, we’ve taken some key feedback from you the user and have developed enhancements we think you’ll really enjoy.
Zip File Upload in Content Library - You asked, we developed. Previously, collateral was loaded through the user interface one at a time. Now, you can compress multiple files into a .zip file and load everything at once. We will unpack the file, flatten any folders you have in there, and load everything to your Content Library.

More and more businesses are moving to a SaaS model (Software as a Service), especially when it comes to emarketing applications. The advantages that made on-premise, enterprise, and even homegrown systems attractive to large senders have been mitigated in the last five years by faster and secure web-hosted technology. In some cases, advantages have become disadvantages. For example, the control factor that these on-premise systems provide has left many business struggling to keep up with the ever-changing deliverability landscape.
